This author writes mostly womens fiction now although she started with romance and has published over 30 novels in multiple series. She lives in Nova Scotia, Canada.

I love to read women’s stories of suspense and mystery (that’s what I’m trying to write as well) and this is the second novel I have read by Julianne. It doesn’t disappoint and I’m sure I’ll read more of her books. I was surprised she had so much material available.

It seems Grandma always has a secret these days! And the grandmother in this book has a doozy of a secret – and possibly there are a few more smaller ones to keep us reading past the middle of the book. This is an compelling story of a granddaughter, Gillian, returning to her childhood home with a broken heart to confront the troubled past relationship with her father. She also learns more than she ever wanted to know about her grandmother, Vivian Hughes, and the  extraordinary life the woman lived in England during the second World War.

Even Grandma Lovey in my book, Mountain Melodies has a secret or two up her sleeve. If you haven’t read it yet, get it here. And at almost 100 years old, she may have a few more secrets in the next book in the series, Mountain Memories. Stay tuned.
